Most of the damage in a redesign comes from what gets overlooked. Here is where rebuilds go wrong, and what I do instead.

A careless rebuildHow I handle it
Search historyA careless rebuild: Page addresses change and nothing points the old ones to the newHow I handle it: Every old address redirects to its new page, so links and listings keep working
What already ranksA careless rebuild: Nobody checks which pages bring in search traffic before changing themHow I handle it: I research which pages already rank and make sure that carries over to the new site
Domain and emailA careless rebuild: Email is changed without a plan, and inboxes get disruptedHow I handle it: Your domain stays yours, and email can stay with your current provider or I can help you move it somewhere new
UpdatesA careless rebuild: Every change goes through an agency or a pile of pluginsHow I handle it: An editor can be added so you change text and photos yourself
OwnershipA careless rebuild: Often tied to a monthly planHow I handle it: Yours. You get the domain, the code and the content
Your Pet Space · Dog daycare and boarding, Las Cruces, New Mexico
A 12-year-old WordPress site, rebuilt without losing its history
The problem
The site was about 12 years old. Whole paragraphs sat in capital letters on a dark background, every service was buried under one menu item, and any change meant working through WordPress and its plugins. The domain also had more than a decade of history with Google that a rebuild could easily have thrown away.
What I did
I rebuilt it around the space theme the business is known for, gave each service its own page, and redirected every old address to its new equivalent so existing links and search listings kept working. Business email stayed with the same provider, and the owners now update text, photos and team members themselves.
The result
More than 200 clicks from Google Search within four weeks of launch, and page-one rankings for 15 local searches that don't include the business name.

“Tristan's website design for us was new, clean and detailed without being cluttered. He got us! The text he created was so in alignment with our business that we changed our brochures to match! He is reasonably priced, easy to work with and really problem solved for us. We will work with him again!”
A newly launched consulting firm needed a professional site that communicated expertise and gave prospective clients a simple way to reach out.
What I did
A custom site with structured service sections, client-focused messaging, a contact form and consultation scheduling, with room to add services and pages as the firm grows.
The result
A strong first impression for prospective clients, and a site built to grow with the firm.
“He listened carefully to what I wanted and turned those ideas into a site that matched my vision. The website turned out beautifully and quickly became a strong reflection of my brand.”
Automated Controls of Tampa · Industrial automation, Tampa, Florida
A full company site in place of a single HTML page
The problem
Automated Controls has programmed PLC, HMI and SCADA systems for food, water and manufacturing plants since 2000. Its previous site was a single HTML page, with no separate pages for its services, its industries or the projects it has completed.
What I did
I rebuilt the site with a page for each of the company's seven services, plus its industries, the platforms it works with and its past projects. The copy was written from the company's own overview and project abstracts, with each claim checked against that material before launch. Old addresses redirect to the new pages, and the contact form sends the team the message and the visitor a confirmation.
The result
The company now has a site that covers what it does, who it does it for and what it has built, with its old addresses still working.

KindVet Sarasota · Veterinary urgent care, Sarasota, Florida
An urgent care site people can use in a hurry
The problem
The clinic's outdated site didn't make its services, hours or walk-in policy clear, and pet owners under pressure couldn't quickly tell urgent care from emergency care.
What I did
A redesign built around urgency and clarity: service cards that scan at a glance, booking and call buttons that are always in reach, and walk-in hours at the top of the page.
The result
A fast, professional site that tells pet owners what the clinic does and how to get seen.
Thursday Night Tournaments · Bass fishing tournaments, Lake Berryessa, California
A web application in place of running tournaments by hand
The problem
Thursday Night Tournaments runs a yearly two-series bass fishing tournament, and managing it was manual and time-consuming. The organizers needed one place where members could buy memberships and register for tournaments, and where admins could manage users, oversee registrations and handle logistics such as randomizing the boat launch order.
What I did
I designed and built a full web application in four weeks, with a member side and a secure admin dashboard. Members create accounts, buy memberships through Stripe and register for tournaments online. Admins manage users, control tournament registrations and run an automated boat launch randomization.
The result
The tournaments went from being managed by hand to a purpose-built platform, and members now sign up, pay and register on their own.
“Tristan was excellent to work with. The site he was creating for my company was extremely complicated and he was able to do a great job and add features that I did not think was possible. I'm very glad I was able to get into contact with Tristan and let him develop the site. I would highly recommend Tristan to anyone who's looking to build a website no matter how complicated the job may be!”
Warner Homes · General contractor, southeastern Connecticut
One clear site for a contractor who does it all
The problem
Warner Homes handles new construction, additions, remodeling, site work, concrete and landscaping, with licensed electric, HVAC and plumbing crews in house. That range is an advantage, but it is hard to show on a website without burying the visitor.
What I did
I rebuilt the site around a clear service menu, a four-step process from estimate to inspection, and an FAQ that answers pricing and timeline questions before anyone has to ask. Every page leads to a free written estimate, and the local SEO targets the towns they work in: Mystic, Groton, Waterford, Stonington and East Lyme.
The result
Ranks on the first page of Google for “general contractor” searches in southeastern Connecticut.

05 / How it works
From first message to launch in about three weeks
Step 1
Audit or proposal
Send your site for a free video of what I'd change, or skip that and tell me what you need. Either way you get a written proposal with scope, timeline and price before you commit.
Step 2
Research
I study how your customers search: the keywords, the competitors and the towns that matter. That research shapes my recommendation for the pages and what goes on them, and you have the final say.
Step 3
Design
I design by building on a private staging link, so you see real pages on your own device instead of static mockups, and I refine them with your feedback.
Step 4
Build
With the direction settled I build out the remaining pages, connect your forms and email, and keep adjusting until it's right.
Step 5
Launch
I handle go-live on my hosting or yours, connect the domain, and walk you through the finished site. Everything that's yours can be handed over any time you ask.

Starting at $1,500
Everything listed is included for a site of up to 10 pages. Your price is fixed and written into your proposal before you commit to anything. No monthly contract.

I'm Tristan Parrish. I started Parrish Design in 2022 after seeing how many businesses had websites that looked fine but weren't helping them grow.
I handle every project myself: the research, the design, the code and the launch. That means I understand your business, your customers and your competitors before I build anything, and you talk to the person doing the work from the first conversation onward.
I take on a small number of clients at a time. As a solo business, every site I build has my reputation behind it.
Yes, and there's no obligation. I review the site myself and send a short video of what I'd change. You can act on it yourself, hand it to whoever looks after your site now, or ask me to do the work.
Can I skip the audit and get started?
Yes. Choose "Start a project" on the form and tell me about your business and your current site. I'll reply within one business day with a proposal covering scope, timeline and price.
Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
It can if it's done carelessly, usually because page addresses change and nothing points the old ones to the new. I map your existing pages first and redirect each old address to its new equivalent. I also research which pages already rank and make sure that carries over to the new site. No one can promise rankings, but this protects what you've earned.
Can I keep my domain and my email?
Yes. Your domain stays yours. Business email can stay with your current provider so nobody's inbox changes, or I can help you move it somewhere new.
My site is on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or another builder platform. Can you still rebuild it?
Yes. I rebuild sites in custom code rather than on a page builder. If you'd prefer to stay on your current platform, let me know up front and I'll give you honest advice, including whether I'm the right fit and whether I think that platform is holding you back. If you want to keep making your own edits, I can add a content management system to the new site. Ask me for a demo of the editor and you'll see how easy updates are.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
If you want to. I can add a content editor set up for your site, so you can change text and photos without touching code. Or I can handle updates for you on the $50 a month care plan.
How long does a redesign take?
About three weeks for most sites. A bigger site with many pages takes longer, and your proposal includes a timeline before anything starts.
Do I own the website when it's finished?
Yes. The domain, the code and the content are yours. If you need a domain, I register it in your name. If you already have one, it can stay where it is or be moved, whichever you prefer. Everything I build stays with you if you ever decide to work with someone else.
Will my site show up on Google?
No one can guarantee where a site ranks, and I won't tell you otherwise. What I can do is build the foundation properly: pages with real detail on what you do, fast load times, clean structure, and content built around the terms your customers search. From there, rankings also depend on your competition, your Google Business Profile, your reviews and links from other reputable sites.
What if I don't have photos or content ready?
That's normal and it doesn't hold up the project. Planning includes a content map, so you know exactly what each page needs. You can write the copy with my guidance, send me what you already have, or have me draft it for you to edit. I work with the photos you have and suggest options where there are gaps.
What does it cost after launch?
Hosting and maintenance is $20 a month. It covers managed hosting with SSL, automatic backups, security updates and light support, and it's optional if you already have a host. If you want monthly content updates and a report handled for you, the optional care plan is $50 a month.
Where are you based?
I'm based in Tampa, Florida, but work remotely with businesses across the U.S. Calls, design reviews and launch can all happen online, and if you're in the Tampa area I'm happy to meet in person. You deal with me directly the whole way.
What if I need more than 10 pages, online booking or a store?
Then it's a custom quote. Tell me what you need in the form and I'll price that project specifically.

Send me your site and I'll send back a short video. It's free, and what you do with it is up to you.
